About Me

Since I love learning about how things work and making things move, robotics has been my focus of study. But I never really understood or liked the hype with tech innovation solely for the purpose of generating money. There’s so much beauty in the world instead of always seeking to improve efficiency; in nature, community, history, and of course direct physical experiences with the world. If you take a look at this blog, you may notice I get side tracked a lot by many interests, different ways to experience things with obstacles.

I graduated from University of California Riverside in 2023 as a mechanical engineer. Pretty good experience minus COVID making 75% of my time there at home. On top of UCR being a commuter school, didn’t really feel that college lifestyle I had a glimpse of freshman year pre-COVID.

Senior year I got involved in UCR’s ARCS Lab assisting robotics research and starting my own research project, with all the aspirations of a thesis project.

2024-2025 I worked as a manufacturing engineer for Veeco Inc. making semiconductor equipment. Very much a technician role but I learned a lot about machine assembly and tuning. And also being paid a lot for just zip tying cables.

2025-Present I worked for WestPak Inc. as a mechanical engineer. A lot of varied experience with maintaining old test equipment old enough to be put into a museum. Most of the time is machine repair like a mechanical IT person but sometimes I can retrofit stuff with new controls, design fixtures, and just drill a bunch of holes.
